Tell us a bit about yourself and how you got into design?

I’m a dabbler in lots of creative hobbies! I’m a blackwork illustrator, chain/jewelry weaver & designer all in one. I’ve always found expanding my pool of interests helps my creativity stay alive – so I do exactly that.

My mum is the reason I ever picked up art & design and is even the reason I designed my first campaign. Since I was a teenager she’s always been signing me up for creative help-outs with her friends. Even now, years down the line, I still get “can you draw my friend’s dog for her please?” every now and then (I secretly love it… but don’t tell her that).

What’s your experience of Twentytwo and the digital industry so far?

I’ve been a multidisciplinary designer for 5 years now, with a focus on UI/UX and Motion Design. I’ve been on a hiatus from Twentytwo for a few years, but here was my original gig when I interned & worked here when I was 19 – 21 (bonus points if you ever read my first blog).

In the meantime, I’ve been on some exciting de-tours within the design field. From commercial photography to large format graphic flagship store refurbs. I’ve definitely had fun in my career so far!

But, ultimately, I came back to Twentytwo because the tight-knit company is where I feel the most content. I like watching brands grow at Twentytwo, as well as watching the Twentytwo team itself grow. A lot has changed since I was last here, but I’m happy to be a part of such a lovely bunch again.

What have you learnt so far from being at Twentytwo, and what do you hope to improve on moving forward?

I’ve been back for just under two months and already picked lots of tips and tricks! One that really stands out to me is automations within Figma to streamline our efficiency, maintain consistency, and ultimately, leave more time for the fun stuff!

Moving forward, I’d like to understand the development world a little more, and work out how I can design best for build.

Give us a sentence that sums you up…
